British Columbia Golf (BC Golf) is pleased to announce a Communications Partnership with Preston Mobility, Western Canada’s #1 Bell Mobility Business Dealer, in keeping with BC Golf’s mandate to deliver ongoing value to its Member Clubs across BC.
After recently moving its wireless business to Preston Mobility and Bell, and learning of Preston’s experience and track record partnering with large associations in various industries, the companies began collaborating on ways to introduce value with solutions and savings to BC Golf Member Clubs across the Province.
At the end of the day, golf clubs are businesses, so ways to reduce operating costs while improving the overall experience for members and guests is paramount.
In addition to savings on wireless, to help better manage BC Golf Club Championship Events, Preston Mobility introduced Bell’s next generation Push-to-Talk (PTT) solution to replace BC Golf’s aging Radio fleet. The PTT “instant communications” solution runs on Bell’s high-speed LTE network, eliminating reception issues previously experienced with Radios, and enables tournament organizers and volunteers to communicate one-on-one, or one-to-many with the push of a button on rugged devices and smartphones.
With the Communications Partnership, some of the initial opportunities for BC Golf Member Clubs to participate in include:
- A free, no obligation wireless assessment to determine how much Clubs can save on their wireless costs.
- Consulting on other solutions such as Asset Tracking, and PTT / Instant Communications for better staff and maintenance crew communications, and for event management solutions to wirelessly enable food & beverage and POS transactions with Tablets.
- An Exclusive Wireless Employee Purchase Offer for Staff of BC Golf Member Clubs. This is not available to the general public, or at any Bell store. Employees can save up to 30% on their personal wireless. For more information, visit www.prestonmobility.com/plans/bcgolf

The campaign has committed over $100 million to mental health in Canada with over 1 billion interactions registered across various forms of communications-based media.
